On this record, the band has honed and distilled their music to its most profound essence. Produced by Marco Marchi, the recording process was simple: set up the microphones and play! And so the band played an authentic and in the best sense traditional-sounding album, with nine original songs and a couple of cover versions. A true mix of Country Blues, Boogie, Swing and lively New Orleans grooves. Swinging, sweaty, mesmerizing, the entire quartet harmonizes splendidly. Despite the use of traditional instruments like the Sousaphon, the Washboard and the Resonator Guitar, they do not make the mistake of trying to sound like a band from the past, rather it’s music created to be enjoyed profoundly and joyously in the present.
